Better Because

I’ve heard before, there are only two ways a person can learn; by their own individual experience or from the experiences of others.  You will either learn from what has happened to you, around you, in you and through you, or you will learn from what has happened to, around, in and through someone else.  To learn simply means you've acquired knowledge about something on a certain level.  Now you “know” a little more about something than you did before.  Although gaining knowledge is of great value, what you do with the knowledge you gain is most important.  I want to be a person who becomes better because of the knowledge I've gained!

Knowledge is nothing more than information.  Wisdom understands how to apply that information.  My desire is to be wise!  Don’t get me wrong, having the information is a great thing but application is the key to being better.  Applying what you learn will take you from good to great.  Having the knowledge but not using that knowledge to become a better you, renders that information useless in your life.  Learn!  Get as much knowledge as you can, but don't stop there.  Be wise with what you learn and apply it to your life so you can be better.

I'm on a journey to become everything God created me to be.  I hope you are as well.   My pursuit at the beginning of each morning is to be better than I was the day before.  Better at life, better as a man, better as a husband, better as a father, better as a friend, and most importantly better as a follower of Christ!  I don't claim to be the best at applying what I learn all the time.  I don't claim that at the end of each day I am truly better than I was the day before.  But this is the journey I’m on and my quest is to gain and apply more knowledge every day.  So who’s in?  Will YOU go on this journey with me?  I do hope you will.  I'm sure you will be BETTER BECAUSE of it!
